After downloading the source code, Let's first look at the file directory structure. My file was downloaded on July 15, March 22, 2016.

The following describes the file structure in orchard.

The lib folder orchard uses a large number of open-source project components, which are stored in the lib folder.

The source code of the orchard project in the src folder is stored in this folder.

Several other files are gadgets that help compile and clean up projects. You can see what the name means.

The readme file is a readme file of the orchard project. You can take a look at it and learn more about how to get the information.

Expand the src folder to view the orchard project structure.

The solution file is under this folder. You only need to double-click it to load the orchard project. net version 4.5.2 I only have 4.5 here, so I will change it when I open it. net version prompt. Click OK. There is another strange thing that I don't know if you have ever encountered. When I first loaded the project, vs was stuck there and it couldn't be loaded normally. Then I deleted it. suo file is normal. If you have any questions, try this solution. Files in red circles can be deleted (if the project cannot be loaded normally ).

 

Start Orchard

The Orcahrd official website introduces three methods to start Orchard. Here I will talk about the methods I use. After the Orchard. Web project is generated, put it under iis. At this time, access the established Orchard website and the interface will appear.

 

Next, you only need to fill in the website name, administrator password, and database connection string to see the default homepage generated by Orchard.

Note the following two points,

1The Administrator Password must contain at least 7 characters.

2The database needs to be created in advance (that is, the database specified in your connection string must already exist, and Orchard will not automatically create the database for you ).

Click finishSetup and you will be taken to the default homepage of the website.
