WebSphere is the most important software platform for an on-demand e-commerce era, and can be used for enterprise development, deployment and integration of next-generation e-business applications, and support business applications from simple Web content publishing to enterprise-level transactional processing. WebSphere can create e-commerce sites, extend applications to federated mobile devices, consolidate existing applications, and provide automated business processes.
