2.vi and Vim Editor

A text editor under the command line of the Linux system

Three different modes

General mode: Opens the default mode for a document

Edit mode

can be edited to enter edit mode from normal mode by pressing I-O-R letters

Press ESC to exit edit mode

Command mode

You can save, exit, display line numbers, search, batch replace, etc.

To enter in general mode: or/or? Access to command line mode
