FHS: File Hierarchy Standard
/ : Represents the root directory
/bin: Binary file, executable program, all users can use.
/sbin: Only the administrator executes the binary executable program. Start-up is used to provide self-operation.
/usr/bin: Complete the specific work
/usr/sbin: Complete the specific work
/usr/local/bin: Used to install 3rd party programs.
/usr/local/sbin: Used to install 3rd party programs.
/ Boot: Storage System boot file, kernel, Ranfs file, bootloader (GRUB)
/ dev: Device file storage directory (special file)
/ etc: Stores directories in the configuration file set.
/etc/sysconfig: System NIC configuration file, firewall configuration file.
/ETC/INIT.D: System service script.
Home directory for normal users, which defaults to a directory with the same name as its user name under/home as the user's family directory.
/root: Administrator's home directory.
/lib,/lib64: library files, 64-bit, 32-bit library files, can be installed in 32-bit, 64-bit applications.
/media: A media mount point, such as a USB portable device, hangs under this file.
/mnt: mount points, such as additional storage devices, new hard drives.
/misc: Miscellaneous for inconvenience classification.
/opt: Optional directory, alternate directory, earlier used to install third-party programs.
/proc: Pseudo file system, built-in state parameters, configuration parameters, mapped to some files, the content of the file is the value of the parameter variable.
/sys: Pseudo file system, hardware working state parameters, configuration parameters will also be displayed as files.
/srv: Service that provides data storage locations for services.
/ tmp: The temporary file system is automatically deleted by default more than 30 days. Can only delete their own, have special permissions.
/ usr: Universal shared ADN read only shared (cross-platform), shared between platforms, read-only. Occupy 4/5 of the storage space.
