A question about Synchronous Asynchronous request server

For a question about Synchronous Asynchronous request server, json is usually used when JS is used to request the PHP server to do something.
If a button is made for the user to request it, the user accidentally double-click the button.
I have read a lot about this method to prevent repeated submission, but today I tested it and found that I changed the default asynchronous method of the request to synchronous, as if I could solve it, I don't know if this is true. What are your opinions?

What else can I do with ajax for synchronization...
If you only want to prevent double-clicking, you can click and set the button unavailable.
