1. Create Ellipse from Circle

5. Complete the side of the cylinder

7. Trim the column body

Hold down SHIFT and select the top ellipse and the new object you just created. Click the Trim button under the path picker. 8. Create three-dimensional effect

Select the column with the direct selection tool, select the gradient from the color panel, and use the Taper tool to populate the column with the corresponding gradual color, so that it has a stereo appearance. (Figure 07)

9. Adjust the size of the cylinder
