A Wet Night

Late in the afternoon, the boys put up their tent in the middle of a field. As soon as this is done, the they cooked a meal over an open fire. The were all hungry and the food smelled good. After a wonderful meal, they told stories and sang songs by the campfire. But some time later it began to rain. The boys felt tired so they put out the fire and crept into their tent. Their sleep bags were warm and comfortable, so they all slept soundly. In the middle of the night, both boys woke up and began shouting. The tent is full of water! The all leapt out of their sleeping bags and hurried outside. It was raining heavily and they found, a stream had formed in the field. The stream wound its-across the field and then flowed right under their tent!

In the evening, the children pitched their tents in the middle of the field. Soon they started cooking on the campfire. They were all hungry, so they thought the food was delicious. After a hearty dinner, they began to tell stories and sing around the bonfire. But soon it began to rain. They were a little tired, so they put out the bonfire and went into the tent to get ready for bed. Their sleeping bags were warm and comfortable, and soon they went to sleep. At midnight, two boys woke up and shouted out. found that their tents were all water. Jump out of the sleeping bag and run to the outside of the tent quickly. It was raining hard at this time, and they found a brook in the field. The brook winds through the fields and passes by in their tent.
