Access the Internet through Ubuntu under Vmware

1. First, you must set the Linux Nic in VMware as a bridge.

2. Set the IP address ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.111 (within the same network segment as the host)

3. test whether the host in the local area network can be pinged. If yes, perform Step 4. Otherwise, check the preceding steps.

4. Ping the Internet. If the network is not reachable, check whether the default route is set for route. If no route add default is available GT 192.168.1.1

5. Modify DNS, VIM/etc/resolv. conf, and add Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.
