Some time ago I thought it was fun. I installed intel C ++ compiler for evaluation. Now the evaluation is over and I decided to uninstall it. After the uninstall is started, Visual C ++ started to stop working, and reports that xicl6.exe cannot be found for compilation. After searching the registry, we found that Intel C ++ compiler modified the Visual C ++ tool settings during installation, but the tool was not restored during uninstallation. You can modify the following two places:
1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ devstudio \ 6.0 \ build system \ Components \ platforms \ Win32 (x86) \ tools \ 32-bit C/C ++ compiler for 80x86 \ executable pathto cl.exe;
2. Change HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ devstudio \ 6.0 \ build system \ Components \ platforms \ Win32 (x86) \ tools \ coff linker for 80x86 \ executable pathto link.exe.
You need to exit VC ++ 6.0 and restart it to make everything work.
