Below are the agile books and reading sequence I have selected from my books. In addition to test-driven development and technology, it is basically related to agile practices. It is purely personal opinion and is for reference only.
- The art of agile development
Although a little thick, it is basic content and most suitable for beginners who are agile.
- Toyota Production Method
Many agile ideas originate from lean, so reading this book is very helpful for understanding agile values and methodologies.
- Scrum Agile Project Management
A very simple book with a low internal capacity is suitable for entry-level reading. It can quickly understand and practice the scrum process, but it cannot help you understand the values behind scrum.
- Test-driven development of art/test-driven Embedded C Language Development
Help you understand test-driven development. Many agile projects cannot be implemented normally, because automatic regression testing and evolutionary design have not been established. You can select one of them as needed, which helps you understand the technology of test-driven development in depth. These two books are also very helpful for technical staff who are not engaged in Agile development.
- Kanban Method
For those who like to use kanban, this book is very recommendable.
- Guide to lean and agile development of large-scale applications, lean and agile development of large-scale applications
After you have a deep understanding of agility, these two books are necessary. They further explain the theoretical basis behind agility and the methods for implementing agility in a wider scope (or within the enterprise, this even includes how professional lawyers can be involved in the project.
There are also various technologies and methods in Agile development, such as planning and estimation, communication, demand analysis, and team building, these offers many recommendations in the book Lean and agile development for large-scale applications, which are very informative.
