An error occurred while compiling the kernel makemanuconfig-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. For details, refer to the following section. Centos5.5 system, kernel 2.6.18.
Download the 3.2.11 kernel from the official website, decompress it and put it in the/usr/src directory, enter the linux-3.2.11, make manuconfig, the result is prompted:
[Root @ localhost linux-3.2.11] # make manuconfig
HOSTCC scripts/basic/fixdep
Make [1]: *** you can create the target "manuconfig" without rules ". Stop.
Make: *** [manuconfig] Error 2
