An error occurred while connecting to the iSCSI network hard disk of the company's server.

Check the working status of the backup server today and find that the iSCSI hard disk connection is faulty. Then refresh the system status and find that the connection is established again after several seconds.

I was confused, so I began to check the server logs. We found that there were two l2nd messages at around 04:20 on July 15, September 13. A previous message indicates that the network controller is set to 1 GB full duplex. After a few seconds, a warning message is displayed, indicating that the network connection is interrupted. Check the network cable. About one minute later, a warning message and two error messages appeared successively. The warning message indicates that the firewall that allows the Internet storage name server (iSNS) Client function is not enabled due to an exception, the iSNS client function is unavailable, and the subsequent error message tells "the initiator cannot connect to the target. The destination IP address and TCP port number are given in the dump data. The final error message tells "timeout when the iSCSI is permanently bound to the volume. If there are any services or applications that use the information stored on these volumes, they may not be able to start or report errors ".

From the above information alone, it should be because the server detects a problem with the network connection, and the iSCSI connection is also disconnected.

I guess the disconnection may be caused by a server or switch port or storage array hardware failure, or a problem with the server NIC Driver.

Because we are on vacation, we are not able to perform further detection for the moment, but we have checked the file server and the shared folder of the file server is also connected to the iSCSI hard disk, after inspection, we found that the file server encountered the same problem.

Prepare for the company to further check the problem.
