Analysis of connection restrictions on wireless Internet access

1. Check whether the password is incorrect.

When you enter the wireless connection password, if the password is too long, you may lose the wrong password. Therefore, we recommend that you enter the password again. If possible, copy and paste the password directly. When copying and pasting data, do not select irrelevant characters. Adding one or two spaces is the most common error.

2. The wireless router is bound with a MAC address.
To prevent Internet access, many home users have configured wireless Mac address filtering. However, when a computer or wireless network card is changed, the network cannot be accessed, therefore, you need to add a new MAC address in the vro settings.

3. Check service settings
Check the service settings on the computer. For example, if the DHCP Client or WirelessZero Configuration service is not started, the wireless network may be abnormal. If DHCP is not enabled, the IP address cannot be automatically configured on the computer that uses the automatically assigned IP address.

4. Check the manually assigned IP address
The wireless network uses the manually assigned IP address and DNS address, which must be set in the wireless connection attribute under Windows. Windows and Linux are different, and different IP addresses cannot be set for different wireless networks. Therefore, when switching between multiple wireless networks, if you use manually assigned IP addresses, you will not be able to access the network easily.

5. Incorrect Wireless NIC driver
This usually occurs when a wireless network card is used for the first time. If Windows 7 is used, the correct NIC driver is automatically downloaded and installed. However, in extreme cases, the downloaded driver may not be suitable for NICs, so you may need to download the driver from the vendor's homepage.

6. Check whether the WPA patch is installed.

In Windows XP, you need to install patches to support WPA2-PSK encryption, so if the router uses this encryption method and you have not upgraded to XP SP3, install the KB893357 patch.
The wireless network can be connected, but the failure check of the network can only take a few steps above, but there may be many other reasons. The incompatibility of the NIC driver may lead to network connection, but cannot access the network.
