1: XML attributes in the linearlayout Layout

Gravity: sets the alignment in the layout manager.

Orientation: sets the internal arrangement of the layout manager.

 

Example 1:

Android: Orientation = "horizontal" // horizontal arrangement of two buttons

Android: gravity = "Top | center_horizontal" // The control is aligned with the top and horizontally centered.

 

Example 2:

Android: Orientation = "vertical" // two buttons are arranged vertically.

Android: gravity = "Left | center_vertical" // The control is aligned with the right and vertically centered.
