Specific process:

Because the Android 4.0 x86 image is very small, so burning the disc is a bit wasteful, so the author here to teach you how to make a U disk into a system installation disk.

The software and hardware we need are: a U disk, 1 PCs, downloaded Android x86 installation mirrors, and UltraISO software.

We insert the USB drive into the computer, and then open the UltraISO software, the interface is as follows:

Then we use the software to open the installation image we need to write to the U disk. The action is: Locate the menu bar, select the file-> open, and select the mirror you want.

After the mirror loading, we will be ready to write the mirror to the U disk, the traditional copy and paste can only copy data to the U disk and can not create a boot file, so we need to use UltraISO dedicated image writing function. We open a dialog window after clicking the start-> in the main interface menu bar to write to the hard disk image.

Run the Android x86 directly on the Setup disk, but you won't be able to save any changes to the system. The Android x86 installation system disk has the partition creation interface "Cfdisk" built into it, but "simple" compared to the Windows partition interface. But even this interface may be rejected by everyone, but in fact there is no reduction in functionality. First we start with a new partition, we use the keyboard to move the cursor to the "new" option.

The next thing we need to do is set the size of the partition, because the Android x86 takes up very little disk space, so we don't have to set too much capacity on the system partition. After setting up the partition, we then select the "bootale" option of the menu to set the partition to a bootable partition.

Partition is created well, then our installation of the system is actually done half, and the rest is the need to install the Android x86 system into our partitions. Next we select the partitioned file system, although the Android x86 supports the NTFS and FAT32 two common file system formats. But for best compatibility, we chose the EXT3 file system, which is one of the most common partitions on mobile Android systems.

In order to ensure that the computer boot to the normal boot into the Android system, the former we choose "YES." The latter is optional, and choosing Yes can make it easier for developers to debug, but it takes up a bit of space, and because we have plenty of space, we also choose Yes.
