ArcGIS for Android installation configuration on eclipse (top: Download)

This article mainly includes the following content:

First, ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android download (with download link);

II. ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android installation (Eclipse environment, non-adroid Studio);

First, download the relevant instructions.

Method One: Download from the official website, you need to register your account with ESRI official website (https://accounts.esri.com/signup?redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.esri.com%2F).

Login after successful registration, the top right corner of the page will have downloads icon, click In, find the required SDK, select the required SDK version to download.

It is necessary to note that the registered account can only access the developer documentation, API and SDK download, the license level is developer (for development and testing only), the available features are all functions (but there will be a watermark on the map in the program, the debugging information is only used for development and other information). For the beginning of learning, you can use the first, watermark or whatever. If you need to take advantage of the additional features of ESRI for advanced development, you will need to register for a developer account. About the developer account I am not registered successfully, note: ArcGIS for developers is not available in your area.

For the SDK licensing level, version authorization, and watermark removal, refer to the following two instructions:

1, official website description (English): https://developers.arcgis.com/android/guide/license-your-app.htm

2, the Netizen "Jianghai does not tie the boat" The arrangement Explanation (Chinese): http://www.cnblogs.com/wangcan/p/4536806.html

Method Two: Temporarily do not want to register an account, you can directly from the Internet search for the required version number (such as arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.5), to CSDN resources to find may not let you down.

The following is a few of my downloaded version (free points download), some version due to the CSDN upload resource size limit here with Baidu Network disk, if unable to download the success, you can leave a mailbox.

1, arcgis-android-sdk-v10.1.1 download: http://download.csdn.net/detail/zshuaihua/9067635;

2, arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2 download: http://download.csdn.net/detail/zshuaihua/9067649;

3, arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.4 download: HTTP://PAN.BAIDU.COM/S/1HWHDK;

4, arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.5 download: http://download.csdn.net/detail/zshuaihua/9067671;

5, Arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.6-2 download: Http://pan.baidu.com/s/1i3GTL6P;

A few notes on the SDK version above:

As each version update comes with the introduction of new features, partial deactivation, and changes in IDE environment, it is interesting to keep an eye on ESRI website news. Here are some of my personal summaries.

1. arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.4 Support for Shapefiles

One thing I'm concerned about is that this version adds direct support for vectors and format maps, and for this version and later versions, Shapefiles are supported.

So to use ArcGIS for Android to load a shapefile map, you need to make sure that your SDK version is 10.2.4 and above, otherwise the shapefilefeaturetable that are used in the examples found on the web will get an error. Here is very grateful to netizens "Jianghai not tied boat" of the guidance, his blog Park (http://www.cnblogs.com/wangcan/) also has a lot of great on the ArcGIS for Android articles, we can also refer to.

2. arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.4 Support for Eclipse

For v10.2.4 and previous versions, they can be automatically imported into Eclipse (the method will be presented in the next article), and as Google stops its support for Eclipse to turn to Android Studio,esri official also in ArcGIS Android V10.2.5 announced that v10.2.5 (included) and subsequent versions no longer support automatic ArcGIS Android Eclipse plug-ins (but only in manual configuration, which is described in detail in the next article).

So arcgis-android-sdk-v10.2.4 is the last version to support automatic additions in eclipse, so if you continue to use Eclipse, it is recommended that you install the v10.2.4 version in Eclipse (so that you can create a new ArcGIS project directly), and if you want to use the SDK Version, you can only configure the environment manually.

For information on how to uninstall older versions, refer to this article: How do I uninstall an older version of ArcGIS for Android in Eclipse?

Second, ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android installs the configuration in Eclipse (see next article).
