There are many reasons why vro settings are incorrect. For example, if you use ADSL, the settings are very simple. Let's take a look at the operation steps:

If there is no problem with the line connection

This problem is well solved. If you use China Telecom's ADSL, this problem is too simple.

If you use the star sky to quickly access the Internet, that is, ADSL. Then I will teach you how to use the router to access the Internet.

First, you should not use the router to connect two computers. You should first use the original desktop computer to connect to the Internet with the correct dial.

Open Control Panel → performance and maintenance → management tools → Event Viewer → System

When you connect to the network, the first account in the system is your Telecom encrypted account, and the password remains unchanged. The above will show ~ + English or number + region name + phone number, user connection network information. This is your correct account, that is, the correct account that the system automatically pulls the number.

Step 2 is to set up the router, connect two computers with the router and use IE to enter the website address 192.168.1.1. Generally, the username and password of the router are admin. In the setup wizard, enter the account generated by the event viewer and the old password to set the dial-up username. Set the number to be automatically pulled when the device is powered on or disconnected.

Step 3: Set the IP address. Enable network neighbors → view Network Connections → Local Connection Properties → Internet Protocol properties → automatically obtain IP addresses, select DNS address options → OK.

Let's take a look at other router settings:

1. First, connect your computer and router to the network. Connection Method: connect the line from the ADSL cat to the WAN port of your router. The remaining lanports can be connected to your computer or vswitch.

2. Set your IP address to 192.168.1.254 and the subnet mask 255.255.255.0. All the way to OK, ipconfig (entered at the command prompt) confirms that your IP address has changed to 192.168.1.254.

3. Open IE, enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, and press Enter. On the screen, enter the user name and password, and enter the default user name and password of the router. (the user name and password of the router I use are admin. For other routers, refer to the Manual)

4. The setting Wizard will pop up later. It does not matter if it is not displayed. Click "setting wizard" in the left navigation bar. The welcome information of the wizard appears on the right. Click "Next"

5. Select "ADSL virtual dialing (PPPoE)" and click Next.

6. Enter the user name and password, which are the user name and password you used when dialing through ADSL.

7. Click Finish"

If you are using a monthly subscription, we suggest you do the following work. If you are timing, we recommend that you directly jump to the DHCP Settings section.

8. Click "Network Parameters"> "WAN Port Settings" in the left navigation bar"

9. Select "Automatic Connection" and click "save"

In this case, the broadband connection is set up. You can click "running status" in the left navigation bar and view the WAN port status in the right window. If the "Disconnect" button appears (not important), the connection is normal.

Next I will introduce the DHCP server settings. This function allows computers in the network to access the Internet through routers without any network settings.

1. Click "DHCP server" in the left navigation bar and follow the settings below.

DHCP server: Enabled

Address pool start address: 192.168.1.2

Address pool end address: 192.168.1.200

Address rental period: 120 minutes

Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Default Domain Name: not required

Primary DNS server: 202.100.4.15

Backup DNS server: 61.134.1.4

2. Click "save"

Okay! Change the TCP/IP Settings of all computers to automatically obtain the IP address, and then restart the computer to access the Internet.

The specific settings are as follows:

192.168.0.1

Admin, password: admin,

Take the di-740p model of the Broadband Router D-Link, the default Management address is 192.168.0.1, the Management port is 8080.

Set the IP address of a computer and the router management address in the same network segment. For example, 192.168.0.2. Open the browser of 192.168.0.2 and enter "http: // 192.168.0.1: after 8080, press the Enter key to display the user login prompt window. Enter the default management account and password in the Broadband Router User Manual to enter the setting interface.

To enable the router to automatically dial, we also need to integrate the ADSL account into the router.

Click the "Homepage" tab on the top, and then click "WAN" as the change. The location where the ADSL account is set is displayed in the PPP over Ethernet, enter your own ADSL account and password and save the settings.

Now, go to the "System Information" section in the "system status" tab to check the network status. On the WAN side, you can clearly see the network information obtained by ADSL dialing.

After configuring the ADSL account, we can access the Internet through the Broadband Router. However, to better manage and improve security, you need to perform the following operations: click the "Homepage" tab, select "DHCP" on the left and set the ip address range in the ip address range that the DHCP server can enter. After saving the settings, the Broadband Router can automatically assign ip addresses.

Prevent Unauthorized bt attacks

By default, all computers connected to the vro are protected. That is to say, if they are in the Intranet, the use of p2p software such as bt may be affected. We can use "DMZ" in the "Advanced Settings" label to set the declared host. The host set up here is exposed in the network. On the one hand, you can use bt to download software and create iis and ftp servers without any concerns, and on the other hand, it is also exposed to hackers and viruses, therefore, the security of the computer must be well done. (It would be unwise to declare the host only to use p2p software such as bt. In fact, we can use the upnp function to solve the problem that p2p software cannot be used in the intranet. You can click "Other Projects" under the "Tools" tab on the vro settings page and set upnp to "start .)

Go to the filter tag in the broadband router settings interface. We can filter the source and address of the datagram by multiple items, including IP address, url Information, mac address, and region information.

Set "Activate" ip address filtering, and enter an IP address within the IP address range, for example, 192.168.0.111. Port information is actually entered in the "port range" field. Because bt downloads ports 6881 to 6889, We can filter them here. Select tcp for "protocol" and "Schedule" to set the time when the filter takes effect (depending on the actual situation ).

Service and Security

Hackers and viruses exposed to the internet may exploit vulnerabilities to attack computers. In fact, we can solve this problem by setting up virtual servers.

Log on to the Broadband Router settings page. Select the virtual server tag on the Advanced Settings page. Activate the virtual server settings and enter the relevant virtual server information. For example, if we want to allow the computer 192.168.0.112 to provide the ftp service, but want to protect other ports from the vro, we can simply virtualize the ftp service. The personal IP address is set to 192.168.0.112, the Protocol mode is tcp (the ftp service uses tcp), and the personal port is 21 (the ftp uses port 21 ). In addition, you can set the time period for this virtual service to take effect in the "arrange" area.

Tp-link router Configuration Guide

It is relatively easy to implement the basic configuration of the router so that the computer can share the Internet through the router. The following content of this document mainly describes the following parts:

1. Collect and judge the information to prepare for configuring the router;

2. Enter the vro management interface and configure the vro;

3. Simple troubleshooting during configuration!

1. Preparations before vro configuration (if you know your connection method clearly, you can jump directly)

The first thing to confirm is what your "Broadband Access Method" is like?

Of course, the simplest way is to call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for consultation. You can also make a quick judgment by using the network connection method you used to buy a router.

Common Hardware connection methods include the following:

1. Telephone Line> adsl modem> Computer

2. Twisted Pair wires (Ethernet cable)-> computers

3. Cable TV (coaxial Cable)-> Cable MODEM-> Computer

4. Optical Fiber> photoelectric converter> Proxy Server> PC

ADSL/VDSL PPPoE: A computer runs a third-party dialing software such as Enternet300 or a dialing program provided by WinXP. Fill in the account and password provided by the ISP, and dial the number before accessing the Internet each time;

Alternatively, your adsl modem has enabled the routing function, fills in the account and password provided by the ISP, and sends the dialing action to the MODEM; (This broadband access method is typical, such as the "Network Express" provided by China Southern Telecom ")

Static IP: the ISP provides you with a fixed IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS;

Dynamic IP: The TCP/IP attribute of the computer is set to "automatically obtain IP addresses", and the computer can access the Internet each time it starts. (This broadband access method is typical, for example, Shenzhen "tianwei video ")

802.1X + static IP: the ISP provides fixed IP addresses, dedicated dialing software, accounts, and passwords;

802.1X + Dynamic IP: the ISP provides dedicated dialing software, accounts, and passwords;

WEB Authentication: before accessing the internet, open the Internet Explorer, specify the home page of the ISP, enter the user name and password provided by the ISP, and perform other online operations only after the authentication;

(The black text above is your broadband access method, and the access method and hardware connection method are not fixed)

The above mentioned connection authentication methods are only some of the broadband access methods with high penetration rate, and of course there will be other topological connections and authentication methods; therefore, if you are not sure about your bandwidth, you 'd better ask your ISP: is the IP address static or dynamic? Are the protocols used for authentication PPPoE, 802.1X, or WEB Authentication? With the answers to the two questions above, you can configure the vro.
