For a preliminary understanding of go arrays and slices,

Tangent edge is a pointer to the array, there are three types of slices initialized: one is through make,

Slice: = make ([]int,5,10)

The other is through: = Points to an already existing array. That

Slice: = []int {1,2,3,4,5,6}

Slices cannot be initialized with a cap value that exceeds the original slice, such as:

Slicea: = make ([]int,5,10) Sliceb: = Slicea[:11]
This is not possible, 11 exceeds the Slicea's Cap Value (10) and will report a run-time exception.
For the slice append, if the slice's cap value is exceeded, the compiler expands the slice cap to the original slice cap+ the expanded slice len.
