asp.net Ajax Primer Series: Timer controls simple to use

1. Add a new page and switch to Design view.

2. If the page does not contain a ScriptManager control, double-click the ScriptManager control to add it to the page under the AJAX Extensions tab of the Toolbox.

3. Click the ScriptManager control and double-click the UpdatePanel control to add it to the page.

4. Click inside the UpdatePanel control and double-click the Timer control to add it to the UpdatePanel. The Timer control can act as a UpdatePanel trigger regardless of whether it is in UpdatePanel.
