Chinese: at least one object must be implemented as IComparable.

This error is reported in sequence sorting.

LstReports. OrderBy (r => new {r. DepartmentName, r. ReportNo}). ToList (); // error occured

This can be used in LINQ to SQL/Entity, but not in LINQ 2 Object, because new {r. departmentName, r. reportNo} this anonymous object does not implement the IComparable interface, nor can this interface be implemented

 

In fact, you can use ThenBy/ThenByDescending to sort multiple fields:

LstReports. OrderBy (r => r. DepartmentName). ThenBy (r => r. ReportNo). ToList ();
