360 does a search engine violate the crawler protocol and lead to unfair competition? The Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court made a first-case judgment on the 7th, believing that 360 of the behavior violates the relevant provisions of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, the defendant Beijing Qihoo Technology Co., Ltd., which runs 360 of the company's business, compensated the plaintiff Baidu for its economic losses and reasonable expenditure of 0.7 million yuan, and rejected Baidu's other litigation requests.

The crawler protocol (robots) is also called the bot protocol or robot protocol. Crawlers access each web page on the Internet one by one in advance, analyze the information on each web page, and extract the keywords that best summarize the information published on this web page, store the network address and Keywords of each web page on the search engine server.

In August 2012, since 360 launched the search engine service, 360 and Baidu fell into a "crawler agreement" dispute. Both sides criticized each other and took a number of technical measures, known as the "3B war ".

The Baidu robots protocol does not allow 360 crawler robots to capture product content. 360 crawlers still crawl the content of the Baidu website and provide it to Web users as search results. 360 after forcibly capturing Baidu content, Baidu took technical measures to forcibly jump to the Baidu homepage, and 360 also carried out anti-System Technical Measures to directly provide Web snapshots to network users.

The case was opened in Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court on July 15, October 16, 2013. Baidu said in court that Qihoo had unfair competition against Baidu when operating its 360 search engine. It is required to compensate 0.1 billion yuan for economic losses and 0.2 million yuan for reasonable expenditures to stop infringement. Qihoo argued that Baidu abused the robot agreement.
