First, the issue

Initially, Red Hat Enterprise Linux was based on Red Hat Linux, but used a more conservative release cycle. Later versions are based on Fedora. Approximately every six versions of Fedora will have a new version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux released, so:

Red Hat Linux 6.2→red Hat linux 6.2E

Red Hat Linux 7.2→red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1

Red Hat Linux 9→red Hat Enterprise Linux 3

Fedora Core 3→red Hat Enterprise Linux 4

Fedora Core 6→red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Fedora 12→red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Fedora 19→red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Second, command line and graphics switch

Switch from Linux GUI to command interface can press CTRL+ALT+FN (n=1,2,3,4,5,6)

Switch from the command line interface to the graphical interface to hold ALT+F7 or command startx
