Basic use of MySQL

Basic Introduction to MySQL (This article is based on a Linux system):

MySQL is a database management system, is a typical relational database management system. The database is small, fast, and inexpensive, and the source code is open, so small and medium-sized Web sites are selected as the site database.

MySQL operates using the SQL language.

MySQL Open and login:

Start the database service
sudo service MySQL start

Log in with the root user, the password is empty
Mysql-u Root

The command executes successfully as shown in the following:

View the relevant databases and the tables in them:

-- View database show databases;   -- Be sure to have a semicolon -- using the relevant database  Use < database name >-- view table show tables; -- Exit Exit ; quit;
