Big Data age-do you want to "be forgotten"

How should we deal with the increasing amount of personal data produced on the Internet? This question has recently been answered in Europe. On May 13 this year, the European Supreme Court ruled that the privacy of ordinary citizens is "forgotten ". What kind of pressure is there, so that everyone is eager to be forgotten, whether big data brings us enough convenience, or whether excessive attention brings huge pressure, has become a topic of constant controversy.

Today, people are moving to the network space on a large scale to generate a large amount of data related to their private lives. This is the background for generating the right to be forgotten. Therefore, it should be a new right generated in the network environment. Data shows that in 0.8 billion, the total amount of data produced in China exceeded 0.8zb, that is, 12 million TB, which is equivalent to the volume of data stored in Chinese national libraries. If the data stored in the world is printed into books, it can cover 52 times throughout the United States.

The amount of information captured by the Internet is increasing by leaps and bounds. Today, more than 90% of the world's information is digital-so it can be stored, processed, operated, and sent effortlessly. This includes a large amount of personal data, which may be abused. The "forgotten permission" gives an individual the right to process network data.

We need and even desire to be forgotten. Online and offline data is gradually integrated, helping marketers to deliver advertisements more accurately. This has become a concern for many "digital privacy" advocates. These data are often described as "anonymous to some extent", but the more information it involves, the more untenable such a statement is. For mobile operators, they will record users' locations and mobile phone numbers, and then sell these comprehensive data to sellers. There is no doubt that the larger the amount of personal data that can be obtained, the larger the amount of information. As long as we have enough data, we may even find information about a person's future. Therefore, today, with a high degree of popularization of big data, while enjoying all the conveniences brought about by big data, it also bears a very large risk of privacy leaks. Now, all parties are working together to create a secure data environment. I believe that this dilemma will eventually find a balance and make big data a beneficial boost.
