The chassis anti-theft Monitor can detect if the chassis is open. The "chassis intrusion" (chassis anti-theft) option in the System Setup program displays the status of the monitor.
Enter the system Setup program.
Press the arrow keys to move to the system security option.
Press the key to enter the pop-up menu of the system security option.
Press the arrow keys to move to the "chassis intrusion" (chassis anti-theft) option.
Press SPACEBAR to select option settings.
Option settings:
Enabled-if the host cover is turned on under this setting, the system will generate a DMI event, this setting will change to "detected" (detected), and the following information will be displayed during the next boot routine when the system is booted:
alert! Cover was previously removed. (Warning!) The host cover has been opened. )
To reset the detected (detected) settings, enter the system Setup program during the system power-on self-test (POST) process. In the chassis intrusion (chassis anti-theft) option, press the left or right arrow keys to select Reset, and then select Enabled (enabled), Enabled-silent (silent enabled), or Disabled (disabled).
Enabled-silent (silent enabled)-If the host cover is open under this setting, a DMI event will be generated and the setting will be changed to "detected" (detected), but the next time the system is booted, no warning message will be displayed during the boot sequence.
"Disabled" (disabled)-no security monitoring or information is displayed.
Note: If you enable the set password, you must know the setting password to reset the chassis anti-theft option.
