Build a ruby on rails Development Environment on win7, win7rails
For beginners who are new to a new technology or language, building a learning environment is always a tough topic, especially in the domestic network.
After more than 10 hours of hard work, I finally built a ruby + rails + mysql environment in win7. There are no detailed steps in this article, I don't have to worry about writing a blog at all, and I don't want to fold it any more. The original intention of writing this article is to give suggestions for the upcoming and ongoing child shoes.
Best strategy: Don't try it on win7:
It is relatively difficult to build the environment on mac OS and Linux, and it is easy to solve the problem. You can also build a virtual machine.
CE: use Instant RailsWhat is website /? Group_id = 904, which is an all-in-one solution. It includes ruby, rails, apache, and mysql, and all the configurations are automatically completed.
Policy: ruby + rails + sqlite3
Next policy: ruby + rails + mysql
It is really difficult to install:
1) ruby recommends using rubyinstaller for one-click installation.
2) DevKit
3) install mysql2 on gem
4) mysql connector
For more information, see http://kingxss.iteye.com/blog/2014443. This article is quite reliable (at least in my case.
Finally, it took me about half of the time to use mysql in rails to find that there was a bug, libmysql. lib incompatible with connector: https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/8591
Solution: Download gendef.exe, or use sqlite3 only for learning.
Official link I here too can not access the wall, give a download link: swm-map-win.zip
Good luck!
