In NetBeans, you execute clean and Build to get the jar file

To add a resource to a jar, first open the jar with the compression software and then drag the resource into the current archive

Use class.getresource (String) to refer to a resource in a jar

For example

However, after you execute run in the IDE, you cannot reference the resource because Class.getResource (String) returns null

To resolve this issue, simply copy the resources to the build\classes directory
