Build your own graphics library in Word 2007

In Word 2007, we can insert various AutoShapes into a document using the Insert → shape method. However, in practical applications, we often use some of the AutoShapes in Word 2007 does not, such as the mathematical document often used in the same as the tetrahedron in Figure 1, can only use the existing graphics to regroup, more cumbersome. In fact, we can use the existing features of Word, to create their own graphics library, the trouble is simple.

I. Editing and making graphics

Click the Ribbon Insert tab The Illustration Feature Group shape button, select the Line button in the pop-up menu, and drag a horizontal bar in the document window. When this line is selected, a new Drawing Tools toolbar is added to the Ribbon with the Format tab below it. By clicking this tab, we can easily drag out five straight lines using the line button in the Insert Shapes feature group to combine them into the shape of a tetrahedron, as shown in Figure 2.

Select the horizontal line, right-click on it, and choose Format AutoShape in the pop-up menu to open the Format AutoShape dialog box. Click the Colors and Lines tab, and set the dotted line for "actual" in the line item, as shown in Figure 3.

You can insert a text box in a window by clicking the Small triangle button below the text box button in the text feature group of the Ribbon Insert tab and selecting Simple text box in the pop-up list. Replaces text in a text box with "A". Select the text box, right-click on the edge of the text box, and select the Format text Box command in the pop-up menu to open the Format Text Box dialog box. Click the Colors and Lines tab, and set the fill color and line color to no color, as shown in Figure 4.

Use the same method to make three text boxes, the content is "B", "C", "D" respectively. Move them to each vertex position. This tetrahedron is basically done.

Of course, for future convenience, we should click the "Select" button in the "Edit" feature section of the Ribbon "Start" tab, in the pop-up menu, click on the "Select" Object command, then circle all the lines and text boxes, and then in the right-click menu, select the "combination → group" command, as shown in Figure 5, Combines all objects into one whole.

Specifying code for graphics

The front is just editing the graphics we need, and this step is the key step in building your own graphics library. Select the grouped graphics, click the Office Button, and click the Word Options button in the lower-right corner of the pop-up menu to open the Word Options dialog box. Select the proofing item in the list on the left, and then click the AutoCorrect Options button on the AutoCorrect Options item on the right, as shown in Figure 6.

In the AutoCorrect dialog box that opens, type "Simianti" in the Replace input box, and then position the mouse in the Replace with input box, select the "Formatted text" option above, and click the "Add" button below, as shown in Figure 7, to close the dialog box.

Later, when we enter "Simianti" in the document and press the space bar, it can automatically output for us to do this tetrahedron. If we often use the graphics are assigned to the code, as long as the need to raise their hands "a call", you can easily get the AutoShape, that is not much simpler? Slowly accumulated, do not have their own graphics library it?
