g++is a compiler that converts the source code into executable programs, but does not run it. You must run the program yourself. The g++ default name of the generated program a.out is (Because of historical reasons), so you will run it as

$./a.out

 

If you want to choose a different name for your program, use the -o option:

$ g++ Code. cpp -o myprogram$. /myprogram
