Multimedia is a method that combines multiple media sets with computer technology to establish logical connections and process them. Multimedia mainly includes text, graphics, images, sounds, videos and animations, and is combined with advanced computer, communication, and broadcast and television technologies, form an integrated environment and interactive system that can organize, store, operate and control multimedia information.
On Windows, multimedia elements mainly include audio, digital video, analog video, animation, image, and text. Here, graphics and image technology have been introduced in the previous chapter. I will not go into details in this chapter, this chapter only introduces the processing and application of four multimedia types: text, audio, video, and animation.
1. Text
Text is generally divided into common text and Rich Text. common text is also called non-formatted text, and rich text is also called formatted text.
2. Audio
Audio can be divided into three types: waveform Audio, CD Audio and MIDI.
(1) waveform audio: the electronic and digital audio stored in computer files stores the audio waveform information, which is characterized by sound quality, but the file is usually relatively large.
(2) CD Audio: the CD music controlled and played by the CD-ROM on the computer, usually known as the Redbook Audio standard, CD Audio requires a lot of storage space.
(3) MIDI: Electronic synthetic music, a product of music combined with computers. MIDI does not digitally sample and encode music waveforms, instead, it records the playing and playing processes of digital electronic instruments.
Common formats of audio files include WAV, MOD, MP3, RA, CMF, CDA, and MID.
3. Video
Videos are classified into digital videos and analog videos.
(1) digital video. It is a digital video image stored in a computer through a video acquisition card.
