Can ' t connect to local MySQL server through socket solution

Start MySQL times wrong:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can ' t connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock ' (2)

1. Check the/ETC/RC.D/INIT.D/MYSQLD status first to see if MySQL has been started.
Also see if it is a permission issue.


2. Determine if your mysql.sock is in that position, query the configuration of socket= in/ETC/MY.CNF
Mysql-u your MySQL user name-p-s/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock


3, try: Service mysqld start


4, if it is a permission problem, change the permissions first #chown-R mysql:mysql/var/lib/mysql
