Ii. design requirements

To create a movie director studio home page, we need to express our sense of nostalgia and loneliness. No Logo, no images, and all materials are collected by yourself.

3. Design ideas and materials

According to the design requirements, we can imagine a scenario where a room with a wide old floor and mottled walls, an empty Director chair, was quietly put there, the microphone and discarded Film Used for filming were placed beside the Chair. The Board was leaning against the wall, quietly lying in the dark corner. A bunch of light hits down from the top and falls onto the chair and floor, making the whole atmosphere more lonely. Based on this idea, we collect the following materials to create this scenario in our minds.

IV. Creation Method

Next is the specific implementation steps.

1. Open Photoshop and press Ctrl + N to create an empty document with a width of 960 pixels and a height of 800 pixels. Use the mobile tool (V) to pull the reference line between the left and right sides of the document, then select the image> canvas size command, change the width to 1400 pixels in the dialog box, and click OK. In this way, we have a blank document with a width of 1400 pixels and a height of 800 pixels and a reasonable reference line. Next, all our designs will be expanded in these two reference lines. Therefore, it is very important to create a reference line in the first step. As shown in:

  

 

2. Press the D key to adjust the foreground and background color to the default and black and white status, and then use the Alt + Delete key to fill the layer with black. Use the File> placement command to import the floor material we have found into the document to create the first element of the entire scenario. Because the size of the floor material file exceeds the size of the document, you will see that the placement command will automatically adjust the image to the appropriate size. In addition, this command will add the floor image as a smart object to the document. We can scale, locate, slice, rotate, or deform the floor icons without degrading the image quality. Therefore, placement is a good option to Import images to documents.

By observing the placed floor image, we can find that for the scenario we want to create, the width of the wood bar in the floor is still too large, so we use the free conversion (Ctrl + T) command, reduce the image size. At this time, although the width of the wood bar is appropriate, the overall size of the image is too small to cover the entire document, and our purpose is to create a room filled with wood floors. So here we will copy the adjusted floor picture to another layer. Combine the left and right of the two images so that the image width is enough. Here we should pay attention to the details, that is, the joint of the two images should be adjusted in detail. It is best to see it at all. It is not difficult to achieve this on the wood floor with obvious lines. Finally, use Ctrl + E to merge the two layers. The final effect is as follows:

  

 

3. Right-click the floor layer on the layer panel and choose convert to intelligent object command. Then, use Ctrl + T to right-click the free transform area of the document, select perspective, and drag the cursor horizontally to the left at the anchor point in the upper right corner, you will observe that the top of the floor image will shrink inward, and the feeling of perspective appears. You can also adjust the perspective angle by moving the lower right corner of the anchor to the right horizontally, observe the effect of the image while adjusting it until you are satisfied. If you are not satisfied with the final effect, you can repeat it again. As the layer is already a Smart Object, there is no loss of clarity. After finishing the perspective effect, click the add layer mask button at the bottom of the layer panel, select the gradient tool (G), use the black to transparent gradient, and hold down the Shift key to pull the horizontal gradient at both ends of the floor, cover both sides of the floor to make it better integrated into the scene. Finally, select filter> sharpen> smart sharpen command. In the displayed dialog box, set the number to 110% and the radius to 1 pixel. If other parameters are set, click OK. The floor looks clearer. 4. Because we need to create a nostalgic feeling, the color of the original floor image looks too bright and the saturation is too high. So next, click the adjust layer button similar to the Taiji icon at the bottom of the layer panel and select the level adjustment layer. Apply the following parameter settings:

  

 

Of course, these parameters are only for reference. They do not mean that they cannot be changed. You can also adjust the value by yourself, as long as the brightness of the floor is reduced to what you think is appropriate. Everything is dominated by feeling. After that, go back to the layer panel, make sure that the adjustment layer is above the layer color of the floor, hold down the Alt key, move the mouse to adjust the position between the layer and the floor layer, at this time, you will observe that the mouse has changed from the finger shape to a small arrow on the left and the two circular icon styles on the right. Click, A downward arrow is displayed on the left of the adjustment layer to convert the adjustment layer to the clipboard of the lower layer. This way, the level adjustment layer is only valid for the floor layer, otherwise, any layer built under the adjustment layer will be affected by the adjustment layer.

After the brightness is reduced, create a color saturation adjustment layer using the same method. The parameter settings are as follows:

5. Now the effect of the floor is finished, and we will build a wall behind the floor. The application placement command loads the downloaded wall material into the document. Because the downloaded wall material also contains the ground part, we place the wall material below the floor layer to cover the excess part, then adjust the wall position and apply the free transformation to make the wall material size suitable. The effect is as follows:

  

 

6. We can observe that there are still several problems to be solved in order to integrate the wall material into the entire scenario. First, we can see the excess wall material from the translucent area of the floor, which needs to be covered. Second, you need to adjust the color of the wall, because it is too red. Third, the intersection of the wall and floor is too stiff and does not look natural. Let's solve a problem. First, create a new layer above the wall layer, use the gradient tool (G), press Shift key from the bottom of the document to the intersection of the floor and the wall to pull a black to transparent gradient, in this way, the excess part of the wall is covered, and the shadow is added to the bottom of the wall, so the fusion of the floor and the wall will also look natural, solving two problems at a time. It should be noted that the gradient effect should not be too strong or soft. If you do not do well at one time, you can try to do it several times. The following is the final result:

  

 

7. Next we will use the same method as the above floor to build an adjustment layer to color the wall and combine it with the feeling of the floor. First, create a level adjustment layer and apply the following parameter settings:

  

 

Create a color saturation adjustment layer. The parameters are as follows:

  

 

Create a mask for the wall layer to cover the area on both sides. Of course, do not forget to use the Alt key to apply the adjustment layer to the clipboard. The effect after completion is as follows:

  

 

8. To increase the nostalgic atmosphere, we will use the paint tool to create cracks on the wall. First create a new layer, then download the crack paint effect file provided above, select the paint brush tool (B), and load the downloaded crack brush into the paint brush. Adjust the foreground color to black, select one of the crack brushes, use the left and right square brackets on the keyboard to adjust the size of the brushes, and click at the bottom right corner of the wall, in this way, a crack occurs on the wall, and the effect of the crack is complete. Finally, select all the layers on the floor and Wall created above, and press Ctrl + G to place them into a layer group named "floor and wall ". The final effect is as follows:

  

 

9. Now our entire space background has been created, and the whole design has a certain atmosphere. Next, we will make the Logo and navigation of the home page. Create a new layer group, name it "navigation", and create a new layer. Download the film paint brush file provided above, load the paint brush, select the long film brush, adjust the paint brush size, adjust the foreground color to black, and draw the film navigation background, if the film is too short, copy the painted film layer, use the mobile tool (V) to adjust the positions of the two images, and combine them, use Ctrl + E to merge the two layers.

Since we only need the punched part of the film, we will create a new layer and use the right rectangle tool to draw a black rectangle with a width that spans the entire document, that is, a rectangle larger than 1400 pixels and a height of 115 pixels, use a mobile tool to carefully combine the Bottom Frame of the rectangle and the punched part of the film. 10. Add the Logo and navigation text. Select the text tool and key the three text layers "movie", "Studio", and "Flyfish Film Studio" respectively. The "movie" text uses 68 pixels, And the font, and apply the layer style:

  

 

  

 

  

 

The "Studio" and "Flyfish Film Studio" text are in the font of 正 and Georgia respectively, with 22 pixels and 14 pixels in color # b86850.

The Chinese text section of the navigation uses the 12-pixel size, font, bold, sharp, and color # bab1ad. Then, create a new layer and select the rectangular selection tool (M ), draw a selection area that contains the upper part of the Chinese text, fill it in white, and press the Alt key to create the layer as a text layer, so that the navigation text has a metallic texture.

The English text area uses 12 pixels, Georgia font, sharpness, and color # b86850. Then, use the mobile tool to arrange the Chinese and English navigation texts, and the navigation part is designed. For example:

  

 

  

 

11. Continue. Next, the most important part of the design is the design of the main vision. First download the Director chair material, open it in photoshop, and use the pen tool to carefully pull the chair out of the background. Although it is a low-tech step, it directly affects the later design results, so it cannot be sloppy. Next, use the Repair Tool (J) and imitation stamp tool (S) to erase the watermark on the chair image and the text behind the chair. After the process is completed, copy and paste it to load the document, right-click it to convert it to a smart object, use the free conversion (Ctrl + T) to adjust its size to the appropriate, observe the image and find that, the Chair brightness and saturation are too high, so here we still use the method in the above step to press it down and reduce the saturation, the following are the specific parameter settings for the level adjustment layer and the color saturation adjustment layer.
