CentOS 7 root Password Forgotten Solution

The root Password resetting Method for CentOS 7 is completely different from that for CentOS 6. The change in CentOS 7 and earlier versions is still relatively large. The following uses changing the root password in single-user mode as an example.

1. Restart and Press esc

2. Press e

3. Edit and modify: ro To rw, add init =/bin/sh after LANG = en_US.UFT-8

4. Press Ctrl + X to restart and change the password.

5. Because selinux is enabled, run the following command to update the system information. Otherwise, the password does not take effect after restart.

Touch/. autorelabel

6. restart the system
