Changes to directory and subdirectories and files under Linux access permissions

Modify the permissions for all files in a directory, and if the file permissions in subdirectories are also modified, use the parameter-R to start the recursive processing.

For example:

Set the permissions of the/home/user directory to rwxrwxrwx, excluding subdirectories:

[Email protected] ~]# chmod 777/home/user

Set the permissions of the/home/user directory to rwxrwxrwx, including subdirectories:

[Email protected] ~]# chmod-r 777/home/user
