Chrome and Firefox Password Storage Methods are accused of security risks

If you can access the machine physically, the passwords stored in Chrome and Firefox are easily discovered.

Enter chrome: // settings/passwords in the Chrom browser to view the password list stored in the browser. Click "display password" to view the plaintext password.

Select "option"> "option"> "security"> "Saved Password"> "show password" from the Firefox menu to view all the saved plaintext passwords.

However, Firefox also provides users with the "master password" option to encrypt and save passwords.

Google declares in the user agreement that it is not liable for password theft. It explains that disabling "show password" only provides false security, because anyone can check the locally stored password if they can physically access the machine, they only need to browse the hard disk or execute JS programs.
