Linx comes with an unzip program that can decompress the file. The decompression command is:

Unzip filename.zip

A zip program is also provided to compress the zip file. The command is

Zip filename.zip files

The file will be compressed to filename.zip.

2. rar

Because rar is a paid software, linux does not have the software that is pressurized and decompressed. You can go to rar official website http://www.rarsoft.com download trial version

After installation, available commands

Unrar e filename.rar decompress the file

Rar a files filename will compress filesinto filename.rar. Here, the extension rarwill automatically add the extension .rar to the background of your file.
