Configure the VPN server and client in win7

Client settings:

1. Open start control panel and click Network and sharing center"

2. In the "Change Network Settings" column, click "set new connection and network"

3. In the "set connection or network" dialog box, click "connect to work zone" and click "Next"

4. In the "connect to work zone" dialog box, click "use my Internet connection (VPN)" And connect through the Internet using virtual private network (VPN ).

5. In the "connect to work zone" dialog box, enter the IP address of the known VPN Server and click Next.

6. In the "connect to workspace" dialog box, enter the user name and password that the network administrator gives you.

7. Creating a VPN connection. After creating a VPN connection, click Close to complete the VPN connection settings.

Note: (1) After the preceding settings are complete, a client is generated, right-click the client, and choose Properties> Security: Select PPTP for the VPN type.

(2) client --> properties --> network: Double-click TCP/IPv4 --> advanced --> ipsettings: remove the "check mark" before the default gateway is used remotely.

Server Side settings:

1. Open start control panel and click Network and sharing center ". In the upper-left corner of the displayed dialog box, click "Change adapter Settings ".

2. In the pop-up dialog box, find "file" in the menu bar and select "new incoming connection ".

3. In the "allow connection to this computer" dialog box, select the user that allows connection to this computer. You can also "add users ".

4. Set other computers to connect to the next computer through VPN and authorize the selected user.

5. If the authorized VPN user can use the DHCP server of the local network after the connection, the network settings can be completed by "automatically allocating IP addresses with DHCP. However, if the local network does not have a DHCP server, you must set a fixed IP address. (You can set the specified IP address based on your IP address)
