Pre-preparation

Hardware:

A computer that can run Windows 98 and above;

A duplex sound card that works properly (the current sound card is generally duplex.) Duplex refers to the simultaneous acceptance of more than two audio software related instructions, issued more than two different voices);

An external speaker (note, not headphones);

a microphone;

A VCD CD that can eliminate the original singing

Software:

VCD playback software (recommended super Jie Ba);

Cooledit 2000 recording software;

Equipment Commissioning

1, Microphone debugging

Open Cooledit, click on the Red Small Circle button, will pop up a "newwaveform" dialog box (as shown below). Select the sampling rate (sample Rate), the channel (channels), the number of digits (resolution) here. These values are generally used by default.

Click "OK", you can first record a try, after recording, click on the lower left corner of the play button, we can listen to the recording, the two waveform diagram represents the specific sound of the left and right channel (the following figure). In fact, Windows has its own recorder, why do we not use it? Because it can only record 60 seconds at a time, and the effect is not good. Cooledit's recordings are basically without any noise, and they continue to be recorded for a long time.

2, accompaniment debugging

After debugging Cooledit and microphone, run Super Jie Ba, choose VCD of a song, eliminate the original singing, start playing. Then come to Cooledit, put the microphone next to the speaker, let it receive the sound. After recording for a while, try to play, if the sound size is not appropriate to adjust, until you are satisfied.

3. Synthetic debugging

After debugging the sound size, in cooledit recording, you can try to sing a few words. Generally speaking, the microphone in the mouth and the distance between the speakers should be 8:2, sing more than 10 seconds, with Cooledit to listen, feel the accompaniment of music and the degree of harmony between the voice. If the accompaniment is too loud, you can move your distance to the microphone a little closer, and conversely, stay away from the microphone. When making these adjustments, it is best not to move the microphone position.

Official recording

When the commissioning is complete, you can now formally enter the "Shed" recording. The first thing to do is to "clear out". All that makes a noise is temporarily closed.

Select the "file→close All" command in the Cooledit menu to clear all the previous test sounds, then select "File→new", click "OK", and then use the Super Jie Ba to open the song you want to record and mute it, and finally adjust the position between the microphone and the speaker and the mouth. At this point, you can click on the Cooledit Recording button to start recording.

After the end of a song, stop the Super Jie Ba, and then stop Cooledit. Use the Cooledit to play directly, I believe the effect you can already feel "professional" two words.

Post Production

It's just finished, but it's not finished yet. First, in the waveform diagram in the middle of the cooledit, delete the preceding and trailing portions of the blanks. Delete method is to use the left mouse button to drag the selection (the following figure), select and press the "Del" key can be.

Remove the blank sound, you can also use a variety of cooledit functions to make some professional results, such as reverberation, stress and so on, the specific use of people can be their own slowly pondering. But for the average person, the default effect is already very good.

Now, select Cooledit's "File→save as" to directly save this song as a MP3 format. Click to save, there will be a prompt box, do not have to take care of it, direct "OK", you can see the saved schedule, completed.

So far, your album title song has been freshly baked. You can record a lot of songs and then carve them onto a disc, and even design a cover for yourself, print it up, or save it to a flash, and take your album to your friends.
