Create a Windows Mobile installation package

Use Visual Studio 2005 to create the cab installation package on Wm
Open the project, add a new item in the solution, add "smart settings cab Project", or create a new "smart settings cab Project" in empty"

Add new item

The Program Files folder on the Left can be deleted if it is useless.

Add the Project Master output. If the new empty cab project is created, add the generated EXE file.

For installationProgramAdd shortcuts

In the Property of the installation project, set the company name, product name, and whether to compress. The company name and product name appear in the list of installed programs (delete programs) queried by the device.

Generate a project

In vs, if shortcuts and product names use Chinese characters, the following error occurs during generation:

"Error 1 the Windows CE cab wizard encountered an error. For more information, see the output window. "

"The inf file contains Unicode characters that cocould not be converted correctly to ANSI"

You can use the "wince cab manager" tool to modify the generated cab file to Chinese characters.

Change the shortcut to Chinese. Save it.
