Create a logical drive (extended partition) in Windows 7)
Time: Source: Master Lu download I do not know you have noticed, if you manage the new Hard Disk Under Windows 7 system, then when you enter the "Computer Management> disk management" window, although you can format the new hard disk and create a primary partition, you cannot create an extended partition. If you have installed a dual system, it would be okay. If there is only one win7 system, what should you do?
Solution: click the "Start" menu, find the "command prompt" from the attachment, right-click and select "Run as administrator" to open the Command Prompt window, and enter the "diskpart" command, go to the diskpart status and perform the following operations:
1. Select a physical disk
Enter "select disk N" to select a physical disk. "N" indicates the number of physical hard disks. If you want to operate on 1st physical hard disks, you should enter "select disk 0", and so on.
2. Create an extended partition
Enter the "Create partition extended" command. After execution, the system automatically creates an extended partition, and all the free space after the primary partition will be occupied. After that, you can exit the command prompt without entering the command to create a logical partition, because the system uses all the extended partitions to create a logical partition.
Now, go to the "Computer Management> disk management" window and you will find the created extended partition. Right-click and select "new simple volume". The "new simple volume wizard" (create a logical partition) will pop up. You can specify the size of the simple volume as prompted by the wizard, the next operation is very easy.
