The previous section completes the configuration preparation for the extranet, and today it creates the OVS external network ext_net.

Go to the Admin-Networks menu and click on the "Create Network" button.

Provider Network Type Select "Flat".

The Network fills in "external", consistent with the parameter values of Flat_networks in Ml2_conf.ini.

Tick the External Network selection box.

Click "Create Network" to create a successful ext_net.

Click on the Ext_net link, go to the Network Configuration page, there is no subnet, click the "Create Subnet" button.

Create a SUBNET_10_10_10_0,IP address of 10.10.10.0/24.

Here Gateway we use the default address 10.10.10.1.

Usually we need to ask the network administrator for the gateway IP of the extranet subnet, and then fill it in here.

Click "Next".

Because we do not assign an extranet IP directly to instance, enable DHCP is not required.

Click "Create".

Subnet created successfully, the gateway is 10.10.10.1.

As shown, Br-ex and br-int are connected by patch port "Phy-br-ex" and "Int-br-ex".
