I read the article CSS enhancement in Internet Explorer 6 on msdn. I feel that Microsoft has indeed made great efforts for web standards. Internet Explorer 6 is a modern browser, according to design with web standards.
Compared with its previous version, there is no doubt that it has indeed improved a lot and has better support for W3C standards. For example, Internet Explorer 6 can use tags to perform "switch conversion" (For more information about the DOCTYPE switch, see the article above. to some extent, this can prevent the Box modal Bug in IE 5. however, this makes it inconvenient for us to use css box modal hack.
I used it all! Important is used to hide height & width, but because IE 6 supports web standard, it gets an incorrect result. (Sorry, IE 6 still does not support it! Important ). So I used the hack in css discuss mentioned earlier.
This involves how to handle browser bugs. In fact, I am not very familiar with it myself. I will write it later when I have time.
Although IE 6 claims to have enhanced CSS and fully supports the css 1 standard, do not believe it in fact, the following classic test page that uses css 1 completely shows the incomplete support of CSS 1 standard in IE 6.
The above page mainly shows that ie has a problem with the standard understanding. The fixed of the background-attachment attribute indicates that the calculation starts from the View point (generally the upper left corner of the entire page ), IE is understood as the upper left corner of the container. It may be easier to understand, isn't it? As the box modal question just mentioned, ms's opinion may be easier to understand (in fact, due to the Internet Explorer, I have always looked at box modal before using Firefox ). However, standards are standards, and they can only be implemented by everyone. No one wants to go back to the days when browser vendors are dedicated and designers are exhausted. As one of w3c members, Microsoft should also understand. IE 6 is a good sign. We hope that the following browsers will enhance standard support.
