Definition and usage

[Attribute^ =Value] The selector matches the element whose attribute value starts with the specified value.

 

Browser support

All mainstream browsers support [Attribute ^=Value] Selector.

Note:[Attribute ^ = value] must be declared when running in IE8. <! DOCTYPE>

Set the background color of all div elements whose class attribute value starts with "test:
