Custom example of the saltstack grains module on Linux

We can use grains to view the basic information of the client. Now we can check what the grains. items parameter will display by default.

 

Sometimes we only need the default information, and we can also customize granis.

1. Modify the main configuration file of salt


Vim/etc/salt/master
File_roots:
Base:
-/Srv/salt/

2. Create a custom module


Cd/srv/salt & mkdir _ grains

3. Definition module

You can define it according to the following format.

 

# Note: the grains can be stored in a Key-value Dictionary.

4. Push to the client


Salt '*' saltutil. sync_all


5. Check results

 

By customizing grains, you can flexibly collect client information.
