3. Start to select 中文版. After installing the system, you can change it.

4. Select Asia \ China in the country option.

5, then configure the IP address, routing, name Server (DNS), and so on, if your route supports DHCP, you can skip this step.

6, do not select Automatic partition, but to move players, such as my C-disk for the MS Windows XP system, D disk storage tools and files. Assigning the rest to Debian, my partitioning scheme is
/10G system root partition, equivalent to the system partition under MS Windows
Swap 2G Swap partition, equivalent to virtual memory under MS Windows
/home 15G directory, equivalent to documents and Settings under MS Windows
/var the rest of the hard disk space, about 25G, I used to install Mail server mail in the future.
Because I also want to install the personal desktop system and then explore the e-mail server, so I put/Var independent, and gave him a large partition, if you only want to use the desktop system, then I recommend you only divide one/partition and swap partition.

7, prompt installation source scan, skip, because I always think they are very slow.

8. When Tasksel prompts you to select the package to install, do not choose anything, all empty.

9. Configure locale
Perform dpkg-reconfigure locales and select en_US. UTF-8 ZH_CN. Gb2312zh_cn. UTF-8 ZH_CN. GB18030 ZH_CN. GBK, the default locale is set to ZH_CN. UTF-8 (one step, because I want to install the Chinese environment of the desktop)

10. Change the update source
Executive Vi/etc/apt/sources.list
Rewrite the inside to Deb Http://debian.cn99.com/debian Testingmain (Cn99 is the fastest source I have ever seen, here I chose the testing release, because its software is newer, and does not affect the stability of the system. ), after the update is finished, save the exit, if you do not use VI, please find the use of VI online.

11, update the source and system bar
Perform apt-get update
Apt-getupgrade

12, install VIM, powerful and portable BSD traditional editor (but I prefer VI a little more).
Execute Apt-get Install vim

13. Install rcconf (Service Manager)

Execution: Apt-get Install rcconf

Second, desktop installation

1. Installing Xorg Server
Execute: Apt-get install xorg and select the resolution you are using.

2. Installing the GNOME Desktop kit
Execute: Apt-get installgnome-core, if you want all of GNOME's packages, please execute apt-get installgnome, because there are a lot of things I don't need and won't use, so I chose Gnome-core.

3. Install Chinese fonts:
Apt-getinstall Ttf-bitstream-vera ttf-arphic-uming
Of course you can also choose other fonts, such as wqy.

4. Chinese Input Method:
Execution: Apt-get install SCIM scim-pinyin scim-tables-zhim-switch
Execute: Im-switch-s scim-zdefault (set SCIM as Default IME).

5. Install the management tools under GNOME

Execution: Apt-get install Gksu gnome-utils gnome-system-toolsfile-roller gconf-editor gnome-system-monitor Gnome-volume-managergnome-control-center

6. Install the login Manager

Execution: Apt-get INSTALLGDM (gnomedesktop Manager)

Third, install the common software
