How to set the global variables of Debian-Debian information for the Linux release. For details, refer to the following section. The bash of Debian is different from other releases:

1. the global configuration file for interactive logon is/etc/profile, and the user-level configuration file is $ HOME /. bash_profile (the root user's configuration file is/root /. profile). The execution priority of the former is higher than that of the latter.

2. The interactive non-Logon global configuration file is/etc/bash. bashrc, and the user-level configuration file is $ HOME/. bashrc. The former has a higher execution priority than the latter.

When you log on with kdm, the/etc/profile script is not executed.
