Delete a project from Team Foundation Server

UseTfsdeleteprojectDelete the project from team system.

RunTfsdeleteprojectInSource codeManagement data is set to deleted. It does not actually remove data from the database or reclaim disk space. In addition, the system does not remove warehouse data from team projects.

Tfsdeleteproject [/q] [/force] [/Server: servername] Team Project Name
 

 

Parameters

Parameters	Description
Team Project Name	Project name. If the name contains spaces, use quotation marks.
Servername	Server name. If the name contains spaces, use quotation marks.

Option	Description
/Q	Use quiet mode. The user is not prompted for confirmation.
/Server: Servername	Name of the application layer team Foundation server where the team project is located. This is required in a multi-server environment.
/Force	Even if some parts cannot be deletedProgramContinue.

Remarks

You must connect to the team Foundation server to useTfsdeleteproject.

Example

The following command deletes the Team Project storefront on the team Foundation server adventureworks1 and deletes it from the team resource manager.
