I recently bought two 2 GB of memory and found that only 1 GB of memory is recognized for each entry of the system. I usually seldom doubt the character of others, so I think it may be that the BIOS version is too low. Go to the dell website and find the 2650 linux version BIOS Upgrade Program in a lot of English. Wget http ://Ftp.Us.dell.com/bios/PE2650_BIOS_LX_A21.BIN
Find a server and download it.

Dizzy, this program uses rpm and other rEdWhat is unique to hat is that it cannot run on debian. If you try to install these things In debian, The result fails.
No way, this dell program only supports redhat and windows, and other versions of the operating system cannot run, I do not want to hard to come, so as not to be arrogant.
Ask a user to try it on a machine first, find a redhat el5 server, and run it:
./PE2650_BIOS_LX_A21.BIN
After waiting for a while, I have to be patient and I will come up with a explanatory text, which is pure English. I don't know much about it. I copied it and saved it first, and then press the q key to skip the explanatory text, continue installation:
Error while loading shared libraries: libstdc ++. so.5:

You must install the Linux compatibility libraries.
To install the compatibility libraries, use the following command:
Rpm-ih compat-libstdc ++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm
Gone wrong. libstdc ++ is not installed. Search for it on google and find one:
Wget ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/www.startcom.org/AS-4.0.0/ OS /i386/StartCom/RPMS/compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm
Rpm-ivh compat-libstdc ++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm
This package has no other dependencies. The installation is successful. Run it again:
./PE2650_BIOS_LX_A21.BIN

Well, that's exactly what I want.
I will upgrade the machine with two 2 GB memory tonight. The initial plan is to take a 2650 redhat el5 hard disk, plug it into the boot, change the ip address, and then remotely upgrade and restart the machine.
The upgrade process was still smooth. It was upgraded from A10 to A21, but it did not solve the problem of 2 GB memory.
I can't think of a solution, but I can only return four 1g instances.
