Defines configuration settings that support Web application deployment.

<Deployment retail = "true | false"/>

Retail attribute: sets a value that specifies whether to deploy a Web application in release mode. The default value is false. If retail is set to true, ASP. NET disables some configuration settings, such as tracking output, custom errors, and debugging.
