In the absence of a definition of UL background and width, and each Li's respective style display as shown in Figure 1;



After the background is defined, it is shown as Figure 2; If you do not define the UL width, the default width occupies the entire browser window;



After defining the background and width as shown in Figure 3;



Define the style individually for three Li again:

Inner margin: Upper and lower 10px; Right and left 150px;

It is shown from the figure that the definition of Li's interior margin has no effect on the position of Li's background in the UL background, but only affects the position of the text in Li;
